that's how stupid i have become. at the risk of sounding like a dick i'm gonna say that i was one of the maybe ten or so smartest people in my graduating class. i never had to work for it. i just remembered everything the first time i heard it and sucked up to teachers and that was all i needed for thirteen years of straight a's.
not no mo'.
let's review my marks from college thus far, eh?
semester uno:
b+, b, b, b, c+.
semester dos:
c-, b, c-, e, d+.
semester tres:
d, d-, c-, c, d.
another point of interest might be my 1.96 gpa.
how special.
so i'm taking this semester off, hopefully to get it together. my mom told me i was basically coming back to utah to sell my apartment and pack up my stuff. then i would be moving home to stay there for, lets face it, the rest of my life. after spending a couple days crying hysterically i think she started to see how much i don't want to go back. she's been calling me no less than three times a second since i've been back in the great state of utah, always with the kindergarten teacher voice. saying, "how are you feeling today, trina?" stuff like that. i think she's now planning on me deciding what to do rather than forcing me. anyway i guess this is all besides the point.
the point is: where can i buy some grade-a motivation? lakeland, florida is the most depressing place in america. i cannot go back. everyone i knew in high school that stayed there has done nothing but a lot of drugs. to each his own, but i've made a lot of friends here and i love it and i don't wanna go back. i think i'll start again in the fall with classes that i am really interested in and i will work my ass raw to do well. because even if my mom does decide to let me stay, byu's not giving me many more chances anyway.
i can do it.
right?

you can do it. I might end up taking the semester off as well. I think that sometimes it is the most brilliant and creative people who struggle with motivation because they never needed it until college. that's me too. but we're young and will learn, hopefully sooner rather than later.
