it's not you, kurt. it's them.

sorry this post is like, a week late, but i think it's something worth saying... albeit a week after the fact.

so. february 20th was the one and only kurt cobain's birthday.

incidentally, the newest edition of rolling stone came out that day. this is what the cover looked like:

i'm not saying they should've had a fifth kurt cobain cover or anything, but they could've featured someone worth respecting. i find it a little ironic that on nirvana's first cover he's wearing an obviously homemade shirt that says, 'corporate magazines still suck'. you know... to let the people who love him know that he's just hustling. his heart isn't in it. the taylor swift/kurt cobain's birthday edition of RS couldn't have proven his point better.

ALSO, IS IT JUST ME, OR DOES EVERYONE ELSE MISS THE WEIRD-SHAPED, BIGGER, ALMOST SQUARE ROLLING STONE, TOO??!

rolling stone, i hate you.

slight side note: what the frances bean cobain interned at rolling stone last summer? that ruins my day.

Ok, I was at the store the other day and saw the new size of Rolling Stone and was completely baffled... mostly because I haven't read it in a couple of years since crap bands have been featured that I think are a waste of time, energy and money and are killing the youth's musical integrity so I had no idea of the new "look". I liked the big square-ishness of the old RS. Liked being the operative word here.

Also, may I say that Taylor Swift makes me want to vomit a little...
